Professional Experience

News Associate
CNN, Washington D.C.

June 2023 - Present

Currently, I work with the Investigations Unit, conducting research, gathering video and image elements, assisting in reporting, and creating video packages for TV and other CNN platforms.

 

Previously, I worked with the State of the Union show team, creating/airing graphics such as polls, press releases, and other visual elements to advance storytelling, managing the show's social media platforms, researching guests for interview segments, and writing questions to high-profile newsmakers. During special coverage events, such as the Trump Hush Money Trial and the Harris-Trump Presidential Debate, I served as a pilot producer, quickly curating and calling visual elements from the control room for live coverage.

Covered LGBTQIA+ youth in the nation's capital for the Washington D.C. branch of Blade - the largest LGBTQ newspaper in the United States. I wrote about LGBTQIA+ youth homelessness, mental health, identity and more.
